Many parishes in our world today face difficulties of various kinds. Parishes often face hardship from financial problems, lack of strong leadership, dwindling Mass attendance, or other problems. Some parishes are even in danger of being shut down.
Parishes are in need of strong leadership from their diocese and their pastors, as well as from lay people. We should do all we can to support our parish, both in physical assistance and through our prayers.

You have given us Your Church for a very special purpose—to help us reach heaven. Within Your Church, You have provided for many of our needs through the institution of parish life. Many parishes in our world are struggling, and some of them even face the difficulty of dwindling Mass attendance.
Please pour out Your grace and blessings on all parishes, and we particularly ask today that You help all parishes that are facing dwindling attendance at Mass.
Help us to always strive to serve You faithfully, as You call us to. Give us the grace to lovingly carry out Your commands each day of our lives.
