As created beings, we owe God all of our love. It is right and just for us to adore God who created us, who redeemed us, and who brings about good for our souls each day.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that adoration is an attitude of acknowledgment that we are creatures created by God and that adoration exalts the mighty power of God who saves us from evil.
Contemplating the perfections of God can help us to come to a proper attitude of adoration of God. We should offer our adoration to God regularly. Adoration is one of the ways we can pray to God. We can also adore Our Lord in a particular way while we are in the presence of the Holy Eucharist.
Let’s offer prayers in this Novena of Adoration that we and all people may properly give God the adoration He is due from us.
Why Pray the Novena of Adoration?
You can pray the Novena of Adoration if you feel particularly moved to adore God more deeply in your daily prayer life. Or you can pray the Novena of Adoration if adoring God is something that you tend to struggle with doing properly when you pray. You can also pray the Novena of Adoration for someone you know who is having a particular difficulty adoring God properly in their prayer life.
Additionally, you can pray the Novena of Adoration for all Catholics and all the world, that all people may give God the adoration that is inherently due to Him.
Novena of Adoration Prayers
Novena of Adoration - Day 1
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Dear Lord, we thank You and praise You for Your infinite goodness. Help us to always properly adore You as You deserve.
We know that You are truly all powerful and can do anything. You created us and the whole world out of nothing, and through Your omnipotence You keep us in existence at every moment. Our limited minds cannot fully grasp Your omnipotence, but even our limited ability to contemplate Your perfections should lead us to adore You.
Please hear our humble prayers of adoration, and we particularly pray today that we and all people may grow to a proper adoration of You through contemplation of Your omnipotence.
Help us to grow in holiness and love of You each day of our lives. Give us the grace to strive to serve You as You truly deserve.

As Your creatures, we cannot fully understand Your perfections. But we know from everything that You have revealed that You are all knowing. Our finite minds do not always understand that You know infinitely more than we do about our well-being and what is best for us. Contemplation of Your omniscience should lead us to adore You.

In the Eucharist, You have blessed us more richly than we can ever fully understand. You have humbled Yourself by becoming our food and allowing us to be nourished by You in the Eucharist. Your Holy presence in the Eucharist is worthy of all our adoration, and we should view every opportunity to adore You in the Eucharist as a gift.

It is right and fitting for us to adore You because we are Your creatures. You created and redeemed each one of us out of love, and we owe You our praise. But some people in our fallen world choose to cling to their own willfulness and refuse to pay You the homage You deserve.

You are truly all powerful and deserving of our love. Some people in our fallen world choose to serve the evil one instead of serving and adoring You as You deserve. You can bring about the triumph of Your divine will in our world and the conquering of the devil.
Please hear our humble prayers of adoration, and we particularly pray today that You bring about the vanquishing of the evil one who seeks to drive souls away from adoring You as You deserve.
Help us to do all we can to fight against evil in our world. Give us the grace to serve You more faithfully each day at every opportunity You give us.

You have greatly blessed us in giving us Your Church on earth to lead us to heaven. The priests of Your Church have the privilege of celebrating Mass and consecrating the Eucharist. In the Eucharist, we are able to adore You in a very special way. Through the work of Your Church, all people have the opportunity to adore You as You deserve.
